Quantum Theatre Season Subscribers are partners in our mission to create a laboratory for artistic experimentation in Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods.
A remarkable Klezmer musical based on the love story of artist Marc Chagall and his poet wife, Bella, whose floating images are the stuff of dreams. Paired with Violins of Hope, Pittsburgh’s exhibition of instruments rescued from the Holocaust, our show depicts triumphant survivors of the 20th century’s darkest times.
16th century Venice is the setting for a fearless exploration of sexual politics and the tension between personal ambition and moral responsibility. The rebel painter Galactia is commissioned by the Doge to paint a vast canvas celebrating a triumphant battle. The results defy expectation, as does this play.

We’ve called this a backstage tour, but there are times when we don’t have a stage, let alone a “backstage.” Instead, let’s call this an intimate trip through the space we’re currently calling home; a guided tour through the site-specific production of your choice, a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and crazy challenges of the plays.
Babysitter bail on you? Quantum makes it easy to reschedule, a benefit free of charge only for subscribers. Just call us before your previously selected show date (difference charged with an upgrade).
