Originally from Philadelphia, Jennifer is an actress, director, educator, and mover who has made Pittsburgh her home since 2005. Happy to be back in the place where her Dad grew up (North Side!), Jennifer performed onstage with Quantum in the Red Shoes (when she was very pregnant with her first child) and Dream of Autumn; and has appeared with the REP, PICT, Pittsburgh Playwrights, and UnSeam’d Shakespeare Co. Before moving to Pittsburgh, Jennifer lived in NYC where she performed in tv and film, appeared with many outdoor Shakespeare festivals, and started her own company, performing and bringing Shakespeare and writing classes to incarcerated Bronx juveniles. Her interest in global art and sustainability has taken her to such places as Uganda, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Spain where she worked with Habitat for Humanity and other organizations building houses and teaching English and theatre to children.

Jennifer is the founding artistic director of Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks, which has brought free Shakespeare to our city parks since 2005. Jennifer is a certified yoga instructor and teaches for Schoolhouse Yoga. Jennifer has a BA in Theater from Temple University in Philadelphia and an MFA in Performance from West Virginia University. She lives in Point Breeze with her two children and can often be seen in family exercise excursions around the neighborhood. She also enjoys landscaping with her partner Jonathan, international cinema, the study and acquisition of languages, and playing guitar and piano. She dreams of someday being a bass player in a band. Jennifer is thrilled to be bringing theatre to students in our local schools and believes fervently in the power of art to educate, heal, and create community.
