This popular thought experiment makes great cocktail party talk, but for some, the question of “What do you see?” is not a casual one. Many people are familiar with the book, “The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat,” a collection of case studies published by neurologist Oliver Sacks in 1985. Less well known is that the titular case study was adapted into an opera a year later in 1986. Quantum Theatre’s production, running now through December 11th, is a slick take on the show, incorporating video projections, taped segments, and sourced material to tell the story of Dr. and Mrs. P.”
