The Gun Show
February 8 – March 3, 2019
By E.M. Lewis
Directed by Sheila McKenna
From a farming community in rural Oregon to the big cities of Los Angeles and New York, this thoughtful one-man play excavates the playwright’s own complicated relationship to gun culture. A 2014 Jefferson-Award nominee in Chicago for Best Solo Show, The Gun Show jumps into the middle of the gun control debate and asks “Can we have a conversation about this?” Andrew William Smith returns to tackle the role after his previous work with Quantum in The Hard Problem and The River, with Sheila McKenna, who last directed J.T. Rogers’ Madagascar.
