By Alice Carter, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, August 5, 2009

Art forgery, intrigue, romance, mystery. All appear in Naomi Iizuka’s multifaceted story that falls into place like silk dropping from a lover’s shoulder, slowly revealing the intimate connection between fantasy and truth.

It starts with the discovery of an ancient Japanese pillow book, a rare artifact detailing the life and loves of a royal courtesan. Worth millions on the open market, its existence could shake the field of Asian antiquities to its core. That is, of course, if it’s real.

Run time is 2 hours and 10 minutes, which includes one 15 minute intermission.
