Quantum Theatre’s audience is made up of some of the smartest, most adventurous consumers of art and culture in Pittsburgh, and Quantum brings them to you. Around 2,500 adventurous people attend their shows over a 4 week period, trying new restaurants and patronizing local businesses. Quantum collaborates with actors, directors and designers from Pittsburgh and around the world to create plays in places that aren’t theatres.
Each production continues Quantum’s Neighborhood Initiative, a program designed to increase the economic impact in the communities where their productions are held. Quantum will take at least three projects to the “Quantum Corridor” – the swath of neighborhoods surrounding Penn Avenue and extending from Doughboy Square to Bakery Square, including Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, Garfield, Friendship, and East Liberty. Our previous performance When the Rain Stops Falling launched this program in Lawrenceville, followed by Maria de Buenos Aires in East Liberty, Twelfth Night in Bloomfield, The End of the Affair in Polish Hill, and Fat Beckett in Lawrenceville. As part of it’s Neighborhood Initiative, Quantum is looking for ways to collaborate with businesses in each neighborhood we move into.
Partnership options include
- Pre-show dinner partners offer Quantum’s attendees a special dinner option or a discount, and allow some promotional materials to appear in your restaurant, on your web site, etc. In return, your offer will be publicized in their email blasts and on their web site.
- Post-show activities offer a discount for a post-show activity (BOGO cocktails, for example), and your business will be listed on professionally designed signage at each show.
- Other discount offers businesses that may not be open post-show can participate as well. A program stuffer with participating businesses will be included in the program at each performance. Creative offers in other neighborhoods have included anything from a discount on a latté to a free tattoo of the show’s artwork.
