Monteze Freeland is the director of education for Quantum Theatre since 2014, busy facilitating workshops at Barack Obama Academy, Pittsburgh CAPA, Perry Traditional Academy and Neighborhood Academy. A graduate of Point Park University, Monteze held the position of teaching artist for City Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights Contest, Pittsburgh Musical Theatre and the MGR Foundation. Recently he joined The Bill Nunn Outreach Project preparing students for the annual August Wilson Monologue Competition. Continuing his mission to serve students within distressed communities Monteze partnered with ACH Clear Pathways to supply free theater training to residents of Pittsburgh’s Hill District.
